Lesson 8 - Principle 12

HAVING BEEN ACTIVELY LIVING OUT THESE PRINCIPLES AND SEEING THE FRUIT OF RECONCILIATION AND RESTORATION IN MY LIFE, I NOW DESIRE TO FULFILL THE COMMAND OF CHRIST, TO SHARE HIM WITH THOSE WHO ARE STILL CAUGHT IN A LIFESTYLE WHICH SUBJECTS THEM TO THE BONDAGE OF SIN AND FEAR, AND TO PRACTICE THE LORD’S PRINCIPLES IN ALL AREAS OF MY LIFE.

T
he first part of Principle 12 is a personal experience of the spiritual regeneration that happened when we received and accepted Jesus Christ into our lives. By His grace and free gift, we became born again and came into a right relationship with God the Father. We then were filled with the Holy Spirit who has empowered and allowed us to fulfill and live out our heavenly Father’s will (Romans 8:9-11; Colossians 2:9-10).

The second part was experienced when we came to the revelation revealed in Matthew 10:8, “Freely you have received, freely give.” We will never grow in maturity nor can we keep what we will not give away (Luke 9:24).

If having Jesus in our lives is the greatest thing that has ever happened to us, nothing should keep us from telling others about Him. At a minimum, we will be compelled to serve others and let them see Him through our actions and service to them, that He is alive and well within our hearts and lives.

Finally, the practice of all the Lord’s principles causes an ongoing, one-day-at-a-time, way of living in which we will continue to grow in the Lord and be renewed and transformed daily from faith to faith and glory to glory. This does not mean that we cannot plan our lives.
